The rainy season is not constantly wet: July invariably brings a temporary abatement and, in general mornings is clear. There are plenty of microclimates, too, with temperatures descending as altitudes rise.

In the day season, San Jose and other Central Valley towns enjoy a fresh, breezy, spring-like climate requiring a jacket or sweater in the evenings, while Guanacaste’s arid interior endures stifling temperatures. Rain still

occurs in high mountainous areas, and above all, in the Caribbean lowlands, where downpours can last for days or break into brilliant sunshine after a couple of hours. When the green season starts, it is the southern zone around the Golfo Dulce and Osa Peninsula that gets the most rain.

Health:
Hygiene standards are high and medical services excellent. Tap water is drinkable all around Costa Rica. Uncooked fruits and vegetables should always be washed, but most restaurants prepare food hygienically.
There are no vaccination requirements for visitors entering Costa Rica. Check with your doctor or travel health clinic before being vaccinated, but malaria tablets and yellow fever inoculations are advised, despite malaria has been virtually eliminated.

The adventurous choice
This activity combines the emotion of a canopy adventure with the harmony of a short aerial tram ride. Participants go up with the tram at a slow pace to give them a chance to enjoy the views and to take some pictures, and they go down in a very unique way: a canopy ride that let them zigzag from platform to platform back to the base.
The aerial walk
This impressive walking activity is done at a private forest in Arenal area. The hanging bridges of Arenal consist of a network of paths and bridges within the rain forest, where people can easily observe a wide variety of plants and animals.
Floating along the Northern plains
This activity has been specifically designed for those who like off road experiences. Participants will explore Costa Rica on an ATV and will discover the wonders of amazing farms, where rivers, forests, pastures, plantations and the landscapes in general constitute the perfect scenery.
Exploring the tree tops
The Waterfall canopy is located just two kilometres away from Jaco beach and by using the best and safest equipment (pulley, harnesses and climbing gear), participants have the opportunity to glide between platforms on the cables with breathtaking views of the forest, the waterfall and incredible wildlife.
A “pura vida” adventure
With the growing popularity of the sea water sports, this activity spreads the spirit of “Pura Vida”, the most common Costa Rican expression that pervades throughout the country and its people. This phrase, which literally translated means “pure life” contains the same spirit that hails from the heart of the outrigger canoeing culture.
Planting a tree activity a visit to one High School
Costa Rica is considered to be one of the most bio-diverse regions in the world for its incredible wealth of plants and animals found in the rain forest. Viseted High School has initiated numerous innovative programs to promote sustainable development. In 2007, the country oversaw the planting of five million trees, in part to combat climate change.
Participants will participate in a tree-planting project as well as books donation at High School, out of the capital, San José.
